About Physics Department
Physics is a branch of pure science, dealing with the study and analysis of physical phenomenon that takes place around us, the nature of the forces responsible for them, and accurate measurement of the physical parameters involved, there independence and the laws governing them. This leads to the better understanding of the universe we live in. The laboratory and the sessions intended to give the students hands on experience of the experiments that enables the verification of the knowledge gained in the theory classes. A degree in physics enables the student to pursue a career in teaching.
The up gradation of the department laboratory is being done from time to time as per the recent advances and developments in the concerned area. Students have to prepare a project in the final year. The curriculum aims are to develop professionals in the field of academics and research as a lecturer and research student/scientist. The students will be provided exposure by way of conferences, workshop and educational trips.
The vision of the department is to make students competent and motivated professionals along with their contribution in the development of nation. To inculcate in the students an academic environment which will inspire them to realize their full potential and contribute to the development of the society.
The mission of the department is to create and disseminate knowledge and tools in intellectual areas of physical sciences. The department creates knowledge and tools through the excellence in various research fields.
